Champlin, MN (March 22, 2019) – DECO Inc., a global provider of training, security solutions, and specialized technical services to clients throughout the world, today announced its Vice President of Business Development, Stephanie Magyera Semanko, has been named a 2019 40 Under 40 honoree by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. Each year, Business Journal editors select 40 leaders under the age of 40 who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement while also finding time to give back to their communities. This year the selection process was difficult after receiving 500 nominations. This year’s recipients will be honored at a March 21 evening reception and also featured in the March 22 40 Under 40 Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal publication.
The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal article states, “Stephanie Magyera Semanko is vice president of business development for DECO Inc., which provides law-enforcement and military training, as well as security solutions to government clients around the globe. Under her direction, the company has grown to an $80 million a year business, and Magyera Semanko has been a force in every project and contract. A member of the International Association of Women, Magyera Semanko has succeeded in an industry with few female leaders. She is also a founder of video-production company Elite Edge Productions and owns commercial and residential real estate throughout the Twin Cities. For more than six years, she has helped support a children’s orphanage in Bondo, Kenya. Stephanie having been with DECO for almost 15 years, has over 20 years of experience in the security industry working in both the private and government markets. Stephanie has held several roles in increasing responsibility from starting as a Business Development Specialist to now serving as the Vice President of Business Development overseeing the full proposal development of each procurement response submitted by DECO – including Department of State’s (DOS) Global Antiterrorism Assistance Program (GATA) I and II; DOS’ Overseas Building Operations (OBO) Construction Surveillance Monitoring Services (CSMS) I, II, II; numerous Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protective Services (DHS/FPS) contracts; and hundreds of task order responses.
