DECO high threat professionals and mentors embed with units in kinetic areas that require training and operational support to build the capacity of units crucial to US allies' fight against insurgencies and transnational threats. Our seasoned professionals are presently embedded with field units in Afghanistan and in Kenya. These mentors have developed and implemented a full range Train, Teach, Advise and Mentor Programs for specialized Afghan units such as the Afghan National Interdiction Unit (NIU) and the Afghan Counter Narcotics Police (CNP). Besides training these units in such skills as defensive tactics, IED awareness, surveillance, vehicle checkpoints, small unit tactics, unit survivability, these mentors also embed with the units and support them directly in a field operations capacity. DECO professionals that execute this training and support mission have backgrounds in military combat medicine (18D), tactical military coms (18E), as well as experience in at other 18 series experience.
